Success for Interdisciplinary Workshop at UNIBL

On April 2, 2025, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Banja Luka hosted a workshop entitled “Interdisciplinarity at the University of Banja Luka.” This event was organized as part of the ENPOWER project (“Enhancing Scientific Capacities for Energy Poverty”), aiming to foster dialogue and explore opportunities to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration within the university.

The workshop emphasized the promotion of interdisciplinarity among the academic community, highlighting best practices and encouraging active discussions on integrating interdisciplinary approaches into education and research activities.

Prof. Petar Gvero, PhD, the ENPOWER project coordinator, presented an overview of the project’s objectives and introduced the consortium partners involved. Distinguished international speakers included Prof. Francesca Spigarelli, PhD, from the University of Macerata, and Prof. Marta Kalvig Andersson, PhD, from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim.

The event was attended by prominent university representatives, including Prof. Milica Balaban, PhD, Vice-Rector for Teaching Process, Students’ Issues and Quality; Prof. Biljana Antunović, PhD, Chairman of the University Steering Board; Prof. Darko Knežević, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering; and Vice-Deans Prof. Milan Kotur, PhD, and Prof. Bojan Knežević, PhD. Professors, academic staff, and students from various faculties actively engaged in the discussions.

The workshop concluded successfully, identifying key directions and activities for future interdisciplinary initiatives at the University of Banja Luka.
