Enhancing Interdisciplinarity at the University of Banja Luka

On February 19, 2025, a meeting was held at the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka to discuss ways of enhancing interdisciplinarity at the university. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Ostojić, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Development, Prof. Dr. Milica Balaban, Vice-Rector for Teaching, Student Affairs, and Quality, as well as members of the project team responsible for implementing the “ENPOWER” project. During project analyzes and activities, it was concluded that University of Banja Luka should improve interdisciplinarity in the coming period. Interdisciplinarity in a general sense is defined as the combination of two or more academic disciplines into a single activity to achieve a common goal. As such, interdisciplinarity represents one of the pillars of modern education and the needs of society in general. During the meeting, participants explored opportunities for promoting best practices and planned future collaborative activities aimed at further improving interdisciplinarity at the University of Banja Luka.
